URBZ Capital (URBZ) is a young real estate investment boutique focused on asset management, acquisitions and development management within the urban industrial (last mile) real estate sector with an intense focus on creating societally and environmentally accretive assets. Supported by a number of blue-chip (institutional) capital partners, URBZ has accomplished a strong growth of its portfolio over the last two years across the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden.

About the role

As Investment Manager you will be a key member of our experienced team. You will help drive the (international) expansion of our business. In this role, you will report directly to and work closely with the Founders and Managing Partners of URBZ.

As we are an ambitious and growing business, we are looking for an eager professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, who’s ready to take full ownership of the transaction process. You will be the central point throughout the acquisition process from LOI to closing. You will work with various colleagues and stakeholders on a variety of projects in the Netherlands and across other geographies in Northern Europe such as Germany and Sweden.

Understanding the growing need for last mile logistics solutions from an institutional investor’s mindset will be key in this role. Joining us at this stage of our evolution, you will have an exceptional opportunity to further build out our acquisition approach and asset management processes.


What will you be doing?

Acquisitions (+/- 80% of your time)

  • Execute real estate transactions; Full-cycle, full ownership, full autonomy
  • Oversee and manage the full acquisition process from initiative to closing;
    • Involved in feasibility studies and deal sourcing
    • Deal underwriting in conjunction with investment analyst
    • Central point of contact (principal) during the transaction
    • Manage and oversee the due diligence processes (external advisors, timelines, red flags, etc)
    • SPA negotiations
  • Source, analyze and qualify acquisition opportunities, consistent with the URBZ approach
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private and public parties (tenants, brokers, developers, investors, public authorities, etc)

Asset Management (+/- 20% of your time)

  • Together with the Asset Management (AM) team you will be accountable for the realization of the ‘value-add’ activities anticipated during acquisition
  • Assist AM team with key customer contacts and commercial discussions such as lease renewals
  • Proactive analysis of our assets to determine value-add opportunities
  • Stakeholder management for our international investors and external partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve and maximize the performance of the assets through close relations with tenants
  • Perform hold-sell analysis of the assets throughout their lifecycle



What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in the field of real estate, investment or similar
  • Relevant experience in property transactions
  • International experience in real estate transactions in Germany and Sweden is a pre
  • Strong commercial skills and understanding of the drivers for industrial logistics real estate
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and Basic understanding of German language and willingness to further improve
  • So-called ‘go-getter’ and ‘get-it-done’ attitude
