Ivanhoe Cambridge & URBZ Capital acquire two additional strategic facilities in Rotterdam
On behalf of their capital partner Ivanhoé Cambridge, URBZ Capital (“URBZ”) as investment and asset manager is pleased to announce the acquisitions of two urban infill facilities in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Both facilities are located in strong micro markets in Rotterdam, totaling approximately 18,500 sqm. The buildings are situated in premier parks with excellent access and proximity to the city center, namely industrial park Rotterdam Noord-West and Blijdorp, respectively.
The buildings benefit from a functional design and as part of the strategy, URBZ plans to further improve the specifications and ESG credentials over time. These business-critical premises offer a flexible site lay-out and have a spacious terrain, ideally equipped for last mile operations.
As a real estate boutique, URBZ focuses on creating CO2 neutral and societally accretive last mile urban real estate in key cities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Nordics. URBZ sees the most immediate need for sustainable solutions in the cities with high population densities and which experience favourable consumption and demographic growth. In order to address the customers’ challenges and to meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumers, URBZ aims to support the new last mile supply chain by providing well-designed urban logistics real estate.
We would like to thank our trusted partners for their support throughout the process from JLL, Wagenhof Makelaars, AKD Lawfirm, Stevens van Dijck and ERM.
