On behalf of Ivanhoé Cambridge, URBZ Capital (“URBZ”) as asset manager announce the acquisitions of two additional urban infill facilities in key micro locations in the greater Utrecht and Eindhoven regions. Including near-term pipeline, the partnership between Ivanhoé Cambridge and URBZ has acquired 15 last mile facilities across key cities in the Netherlands within less than 12 months.
These high-throughput assets have been acquired in two separate transactions on an off-market basis and are located in Utrecht and Eindhoven, totaling approximately 17,000 sqm. These business-critical facilities are situated in premier industrial parks, namely Oudenrijn and Acht, with an immediate access to a large catchment area, offering a flexible site lay-out and a spacious terrain, ideally equipped for last mile operations. As part of the strategy, URBZ plans to further improve the specifications and ESG credentials over time.
As a real estate boutique, URBZ focuses on creating CO2 neutral and societally accretive last mile urban real estate in key cities in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Nordics. URBZ sees the most immediate need for sustainable solutions in the cities with high population densities and which experience favourable consumption and demographic growth. In order to address the customers’ challenges and to meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumers, URBZ aims to support the new last mile supply chain by providing well-designed urban logistics real estate.
We would like to thank our trusted partners for their support throughout the process: 1530 Real Estate, JLL, AKD Lawfirm, Stevens van Dijck and ERM.
